Regional Sales Training Manager – Americas

Purpose of Role

To drive the organizational performance by raising the level of skills, productivity and competencies of Timothy Oulton (TO) Ambassadors and Halo Sales Team; ensure that all Ambassdaors are fully comitted to achieving the vision of Best On Planet customer service and retail experience;  drive and increase Top line growth and productivity in all activities and actions.

Essential skills

  • At least 5 – 7 years’ experience in managing sales training activities independently
  • Commercially driven training and development professional with evidenced talent for building and inspiring people in a sales-oriented organization
  • Proven track record of successfully managing Sales Training activities in a retail environment and building teams
  • 360-degree Consumer awareness
  • Proven track record in effectively benchmarking and measuring/driving subsequent success
  • Experience of designing and delivering a variety of retail and product training solutions to individuals and groups
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Working knowledge and experience of industry expectations & standards
  • Articulate and confident standing up and delivering to large audiences
  • A credible and professional approach to relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching
  • Demonstrates high standards and is an inspiring role model
  • Can empower sales team to remove obstacles hindering outstanding performance
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with managers, staff and external partners and clients; strong influencing skills

Key responsibilities

  • To deliver end-to-end retail sales training programs and tools for all Timothy Oulton (TO) TOG & POG Ambassadors, focusing on Americas region
  • To develop and deliver effective product training to Halo Sales Agents, Managers and Customers
  • Manage and execute in house and external training programs which include a rounded approach to learning such as Boarding School, coaching, 1-2-1 training, action learning, CAD and e-learning
  • Delivery of the training programs at boarding school and locally at Galleries & Trade Shows
  • Work with training ambassadors, gallery manager and sales agents to cascade the training plan
  • Ensure that all training and development activities have at their core the values and vision of the Timothy Oulton and Halo Brand
  • Recruit and induct TOG Ambassadors regionally, also playing an integral part in the recruitment and/or screening of the POG’s Gallery Managers.
  • Install training and development plan through journey plan of follow up visits to all TOG/POG galleries regionally
  • Benchmark and review Ambassadors performance against agreed goals, objectives, MOP and brand guide lines
  • Manage retention through a succession management strategy in collaboration with Head if T&D
  • Regional training budget accountability
  • Support the Retail Op’s team with regular DNA reports, necessary feedback and action points with the Gallery Team.
  • Travel requirement of 40 – 50% of the time, mainly in the Americas, and 2-3 times to China for Boarding School and At Home Show
