Essential skills

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in HR generalist role with managerial/leadership responsibilities; exposure in managing global stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment would be essential
  • Business partner; understands mechanics, strengths and vulnerabilities of the business, able to offer opinion, advice and problem-solving skill
  • Strategy architect; contributes to overall strategic development and act as business support to achieve the vision
  • Credible activist; advancing HR within the company, bringing senior leadership on board with HR agenda
  • Cultural steward; managing and owning culture of company
  • Talent Manager; overseeing how individuals move into, develop within and move out of the company, supporting management in their roles
  • Organizational Design; ensuring policies, procedure and structure supports the company and its strategy
  • Operational executor; development and implementation abilities
  • Customer-focused; credible, trusted consultant internally to both senior management and employee base.  Able to represent one to the other without bias; knowing when to protect the individual and in turn the company, values and culture
  • Leadership & Team-orientation; able to create reciprocal trust, coach, collaborate and initiate collaboration, drive and support team development

Key responsibilities

  • Support senior leadership in developing and implementing HR strategy in line with organizational goals, by establishing frameworks and improvement plans linked to talent acquisition, competency analysis, succession planning, and learning & development
  • Be a culture agent; embed the Halo culture manifesto and the cultural values by championing them actively through communication, coaching, Boarding School, training initiatives and employee value proposition
  • Oversee and manage recruitment strategy and processes including building external talent pipeline, while continuing to build on employer branding and implement robust practices
  • Facilitate organizational design & development initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, including annual and pulse surveys and facilitating action plans with function managers
  • Drive and strengthen performance development/appraisal process to ensure more regular and effective touch points and follow through
  • Ensure alignment in organizational structure and that it is fit-for-purpose in driving the business goals; ensure Job Descriptions are updated and robust with clearly defined responsibilities and required competencies
  • Create and implement training and development programs in line with overall development needs at both team and individual levels
  • Coach and work with retail gallery managers and function managers to develop their leadership capabilities and drive solutions that strengthen their teams
  • Manage and mediate employee relations issues efficiently and effectively
